  13. I am running xdvik-18d and LaTeX2e (TeX V 3.1415
  14. C version 6.1) on Sun OS 4.1.3
  15.  
  16. When I use xdvik on a dvi file containing graphics,
  17. the graphics parts of the document are not displayed
  18. and I get an error message:
  19.  
  20.             % xdvi examples
  21.             % gs_send: Broken pipe 
  22.             % ghostscript died unexpectedly.
  23.  
  24. When the same dvi examples file is run thru dvips and 
  25. the ps file is viewed using a separately compiled version of gs,
  26. then all the graphics are displayed just fine.  The ps file
  27. also prints just fine.

  29. ( the examples.dvi comes from the LaTeX graphics package
  30. installation directory.  I specifiy \ExecuteOptions{dvips}
  31. in the graphics.cfg file )
  32.  
  33. Is there a way to view LaTeX graphics with xdvik?
